For me, summer is about spending as much time outside as possible! And since it’s warm, pockets are at a minimum. That’s where the Ruff Wear Treat Trader comes in. This product launched earlier this year, and I have been in love with it since I first tried it. It’s main pocket is good sized. I can fit a good supply of treats, plus my phone and keys. There is a little front pocket that holds poop bags. You can either clip it on your pants waist, or use the belt that comes with it. With a magnetic closure, it is a breeze to open and close, and it contours to your waist, so it doesn’t stick out! When out on the trails, I treat a LOT. We are always working on our commands, and reinforcing good behavior, which for us means we go through a lot of treats. It’s important to me that the treats I use for training are not only small in size, but as pure as possible. For me, Bocces Bakery Beef Lung is perfect! And the dogs love it! We sampled a bag out in the store, and had NO refusals!
Caitlin's Product Picks: Wondercide and Earth Animal Flea and Tick Powder Like Sarah mentioned, summer time means being outside as much as possible. The only thing that can ruin outdoor fun is outdoor creepy crawlies: fleas and ticks. Wondercide is a safe, natural product that successfully repels and kills fleas as well as repels ticks and even mosquitoes. With the cedar oil base and accompanying repelling oils (my favorite is lemongrass), you can spray this on your dogs, yourselves and your gear. We do not go hiking or backpacking without spraying everything down. We've yet to bring home any hitchhikers in the years we've been using Wondercide. I have equal love for the daily food additive made by Earth Animal. When it comes to natural prevention, I like to combat it in multiple ways and this natural, garlic and alfalfa based powder is first in my arsenal for sure. Sometimes we just forget to use our Wondercide so this product also serves as a back up. I stopped using chemical insecticides 3 years ago, and I will never go back!
