We've got 99 problems but parking ain't one. Just kidding. Sort of. We have officially been open in our new location on Front Street for 11 days now and have been enjoying every minute! We have met lots of new people and pups and are loving seeing familiar faces trickle in. Some of the best comments we get about our new location are: "You guys have an awesome view!" "Wow, there's so much space in here!" "I love how open it is!" "You're so close to the other shops now!" But the comment we get A LOT is : "Man, parking is going to be pretty difficult." This may be true. Coupeville is a small, adorable waterfront town which has limited street parking especially during our beautiful summers. Luckily, we have come up with some tips and solutions to hopefully ease the parking predicament. Tip #1: Come early! We are open at 9am during the week and the photo above was taken around 9:45 on a Wednesday with LOTS of street parking still available. On the weekends, we open at 10am which is about an hour earlier than many of the other shops. We have noticed that things don't start to pick up down here until about 11-11:30am. Tip #2: Check the Rec Hall parking lot if street parking is full. The Recreation Hall is located just behind our building and is still a convenient place if you just need to run in and grab a few things. Here is the address: 901 NW Alexander St. Just be mindful of events on the weekends as this may not be a viable option all the time. Tip #3: If you do end up needing to buy larger items, just stop in, purchase what you need and we will hold your purchases for you to bring your car around to the front or back door. We will meet you outside and load up your car for you! No lugging 25lb bags of food up the hill! Tip #4: Get some exercise! Those of you with dogs, bring them to shop with us, park in the free lot near the library and enjoy some fresh air on your walk down. It's a great way to bond with your pup and even work on training if need be. We always love seeing you guys bring your furry family in and have plenty of treats to reward with. Plus, it's a beautiful view! Tip #5: We do offer limited delivery in and around Coupeville. If you are unable to navigate the above parking tips, give us call so we can set something up for you. One time delivery, or something regularly scheduled, we will figure it out! If this option becomes something frequently requested, we will arrange a more long term solution. We hope these are helpful in navigating our new store location. If you have any tips and tricks we haven't thought of, feel free to share them with us! As always, we thank you all for your continued support.
